Validitas Media E-Book Digital Berpendekatan Multikultural Keberagaman Budaya Lokal Terhadap Peningkatan Sikap Toleransi Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

This study aims to develop and determine the validity of a multicultural-approach digital e-book based on local cultural diversity to foster tolerance among fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which comprises the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The development of the media was based on 21st-century learning needs, which emphasize strengthening tolerance, digital literacy, and introducing local culture to elementary school students. The research subjects consisted of media experts, language experts, content experts, fifth-grade teachers, and elementary school students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and validation questionnaires. The research results indicate that the developed media achieved a very high level of validity: 93.3% for media experts, 92% for subject matter experts, and 82% for language experts, all categorized as “highly valid.” The developed Digital E-book features an interactive interface, uses communicative language, and contains content aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and the characteristics of elementary school students. Furthermore, the implementation of the media demonstrated an increase in students’ attitudes of tolerance in appreciating cultural differences, collaborating, and showing empathy toward peers. Thus, the Multicultural Approach Digital E-book Media based on local cultural diversity is suitable for use as an innovative learning medium to support the strengthening of tolerance character among elementary school students.
