Analisis Model Problem Based Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Ide Pokok Siswa Sekolah Dasar

This study aims to systematically examine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the ability to determine the main idea in elementary school students. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with stages including formulation of research questions, literature search, article selection, data extraction, and data analysis and synthesis. The literature search was conducted through Google Scholar and various online national journals using the keywords Problem Based Learning, main idea, reading comprehension, and elementary school. The articles analyzed were limited to the period 2019–2025 and were selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the study of 10 articles indicate that the Problem Based Learning model has a positive influence on the abilities of elementary school students, especially in improving reading comprehension, critical thinking, higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), learning outcomes, and student engagement in the learning process. The application of the PBL model helps students understand the content of reading more deeply through problem-solving activities, discussions, and information analysis so that students are better able to determine the main idea in a paragraph. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model can be used as an alternative effective learning model to improve the ability to determine main ideas in elementary school students, especially in learning Indonesian.
