Analisis Pendekatan pada Proses Pembelajaran Siswa Kelas III SD Negeri Jarak 1

Abstract

Effective learning in elementary schools requires strategies that can enhance students’ learning motivation and create meaningful learning experiences. However, in practice, activities are still found to tend toward surface learning, resulting in students’ understanding not being fully developed. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in improving learning motivation, identify psychological factors influencing the process, and analyze the tendency of learning activities toward deep learning and surface learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design in Pancasila Education learning in Grade III at SD Negeri Jarak 1, involving 14 students. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and documentation. The results show that the teacher applied various strategies such as contextual approaches, singing activities, the use of SMART Board and videos, as well as positive personal interactions with students. Supporting psychological factors include teacher attention, effective communication, and a comfortable learning environment, while the main obstacle is decreased student concentration due to monotonous media. Activities are more dominantly oriented toward deep learning, although indications of surface learning are still found. In conclusion, teacher strategies play an important role in improving students’ motivation and quality, therefore more interactive, reflective, and experience-based learning is needed
